Sue Kirkham is a recently retired headteacher who had worked for over 39 years in secondary schools before retiring in December 2007, culminating in two headships, one in Worcestershire and the second in Staffordshire. In 2005-2006 she was President of the Association for School and College Leaders (ASCL, formerly SHA) and, since retirement, works for the Association in a part time capacity. She has published a French A level text book and a guide for heads of department and has contributed articles to a variety of educational publications.
Sue is a member of the QCA Board, the NAA Advisory Board and chairs the QCA 14-19 Advisory Board. She was a member of the Assessment sub-group for the Tomlinson Review and a member of the Curriculum 2000 Investigation advisory group.
