Prior to joining QCA in 2003 David had over 25 years' experience in public relations. Previously he was London-based Public Affairs General Manager for Texaco, the international oil company, with responsibility for directing all corporate communications in Europe, West Africa and Eurasia. As part of the worldwide leadership team he also directed global web and internal communications from New York.
David played significant communications roles during Texaco's merger with Chevron to form ChevronTexaco, a 100 billion dollar energy company, and left the organisation following the conclusion of the merger.
The role of Director of Communications and Marketing oversees a broad remit including Media Relations, Public Affairs, Corporate Communications, Marketing, Commercial and Educational Publications and Customer Services. This includes developing and implementing QCA's communications strategies and programmes and managing QCA's reputation with key stakeholders.
David is also responsible for QCA's commercial activity through QCA Enterprises.
