Developing the curriculum at key stage 3
Many schools have been concentrating on how they can use the increased flexibility, reduced prescription and revised subject content in the new key stage 3 programme of study for PE to meet pupils’ individual needs and strengths better. As well as changing approaches to teaching and learning, they have redeployed staff, started to use time differently, introduced new resources and materials, and given pupils much greater responsibility for their own and others’ learning.
