The QCA schemes of work for MFL at key stage 3 are non-statutory but provide examples of how the programme of study and attainment targets can be translated into practical, manageable teaching plans.

The schemes of work for French, German and Spanish are available via the DfES Standards website, from which units can be downloaded.

The schemes of work can also be ordered from QCA Orderline (see right-hand menu).

Use of the schemes of work is optional. Teachers may use as little or as much of them as they wish and may find it helpful to adapt the suggested activities.
