9.1 Press Releases
short description Briefing papers aimed at providing information that journalists will find useful. Press releases are part of QCA's overall communications strategy and coordinated by the Communications and Marketing division.

9.2 Circulars
short description Sequentially numbered single page documents that QCA issues to communicate new information with key audience groups (e.g. schools, LEAs, awarding bodies, training providers, colleges). The circulars are written in plain English, and divided into four sections:
  • who's it for?
  • what's it about?
  • what next?
  • for further information contact...
Typically QCA will issue between twenty and thirty such circulars over the course of a year. Audiences will usually include schools, colleges, ITT institutions, training providers and awarding bodies

9.3 Newsletters
short description Occasional newsletters (e.g. On Q and NVQ bulletin) that provides information about all of QCA's activities, and details of how to obtain new and recent publications.

9.4 Publications
short description QCA provides a catalogue of all QCA publications currently in print. It includes details of how to order, an order form, and an explanation of pricing policy. In 2001 the QCA orderline e-commerce website was launched. This enables customers to browse the entire QCA back catalogue of publications online, and add items to their 'basket' then check out and pay online by credit card.

9.5 Customer Complaints
short description QCA's Complaints Policy for responding to complaints, including how to contact us and how we will go about processing the complaint. Includes details of turnaround times and escalation procedures.

9.6 Customer Services
