Data Protection
short description QCA's data protection Notification document is available to view via the Information Commissioner's register of data controllers. In addition QCA has produced several internal documents to inform staff about the requirements of data protection law which are published on the staff intranet.
format and availability the Notification document can be viewed on the Register of Data Controller's website. Printouts of other information produced for staff, including the Personnel data protection policy document, are available on request.

7.2 Freedom of Information
short description QCA's Publication Scheme was approved by the Information Commissioner's Office in October 2002 and has subsequently been published on the QCA website. QCA is running a project to ensure compliance with other aspects of FOI law by the January 2005 deadline, including the development of improved records management procedures and policies and procedures to deal with requests for access that the Act provides for.
