5.1 Recruitment
short description QCA's policy on contracts of employment and job descriptions, and on advertising vacancies, interviewing and testing candidates, and taking up references. Includes the probation procedure, advice for internal candidates, procedures for internal secondments and temporary promotions, and principles of good practice for those taking part in the recruitment process.

5.4 Performance Appraisal
short description The Appraisal Policy guides managers and staff through the process of agreeing objectives and Personal Development Plans, and appraising performance. It also gives guidance on the assessment of performance for the purpose of awarding Performance Related Pay.

5.5 Learning and Development
