4.1 Diversity (formerly equal opportunities)
short description The Diversity policy aims to:
  • promote a diverse workforce and ensure that the organise has access to valuable knowledge, experience and skills
  • promote equal treatment for all staff and potential staff
  • ensure that this is managed in such a way that the organisation complies with equal opportunities legislation and codes of practice

4.2 Health & Safety
short description QCA's Health and Safety policy, together with information on staff welfare, employer's liability and professional indemnity insurance. There are appendices which deal with:
  • Fire precautions
  • General precautions for QCA's premises
  • Responsibilities of Fire Wardens and other responsible staff
  • Office Hazards
  • Smoking
  • Reporting accidents and incidents
  • First Aid arrangements
  • Security
  • Dealing with suspicious objects
  • Eye care arrangements

4.3 Code of Conduct
short description Sets out a Code of Conduct and associated policies for QCA staff, following the recommendations of the Committee on Standards in Public Life. Includes advice on registering external interests, political activities, accepting gifts and hospitality, and providing hospitality for visitors.

4.4 Travel & Subsistence
