Case studies

Case studies showing post-16 citizenship in practice across a range of organisations have been developed to illustrate the guidance. They give inspirational insight into the positive effect that citizenship can have on young people. They include information on staffing, organising a citizenship programme and recognising and assessing achievement. The case studies illustrate all sort of citizenship activities:

  • young people at a youth centre taking part in question time events
  • sixth-form students taking part in community work
  • students getting involved in their college parliament
  • apprentices acting as ambassadors for their local council
  • trainees making a film about the effects of crime on the community.

The case studies are organised by type of post 16 learning setting. Read them to find out more and be inspired.
