Teachers can draw on a range of resources to support out-of-school learning for pupils who are gifted in history, including:

• English Heritage, The National Trust and privately-owned historic sites;
• local history societies;
• national and local museums and galleries (including their websites);
• Young Archaeologists' Clubs.

All of these provide opportunities for independent enquiry, enrichment or collaborative work.
