This report by PKF for QCA is a review of awarding bodies' fees. The further education, training and schools sectors have expressed concern about increased spending on fees in recent years. In order to address this issue, the regulatory authorities require a greater understanding of awarding body fees to assess how reasonable they are. The report focuses solely on GCSEs and A levels through three streams of work: reasonableness of fees; views of centres; and presentation in a common format.
