Recording PLTS in Diplomas
QCA guidelines on recording personal, learning and thinking skills in the Diploma
QCA has produced guidelines for recording personal, learning and thinking skills (PLTS) in the Diploma. These guidelines will help people involved in planning and delivering Diploma programmes to record PLTS in teaching and learning, enabling learners to identify their strengths and weaknesses and to develop their skills.
The guidelines document can be downloaded from the right-hand side of this page and covers:
- the importance of recording PLTS
- general principles for recording PLTS
- management and quality assurance
- supporting the recording and communication of PLTS
- links with other developments.
PLTS are essential to achieving the aims of the Diploma and the wider curriculum. More information about QCA's framework for PLTS within the curriculum for the Diploma is available from the link on the right-hand side of this page. QCA is carrying out further work on PLTS within the secondary curriculum which will supplement these guidelines.
