Supporting the independent review of the primary curriculum
Last updated: 30 Apr 2009
Sir Jim Rose has published the final report of his Independent review of the primary curriculum, and QCA has begun a public consultation on the government's response to his recommendations. The consultation will run until 24 July 2009, and is part of a wider consultation on a number of other key areas of the national curriculum. These other areas are:
- personal, social, health and economic education
- subject level descriptions
- guidance on the teaching of religious education.
QCA is managing this consultation on behalf of the Department for Children, Schools and Families. Please visit the Curriculum reform consultation web pages, to register for the online questionnaire, read background documents on all aspects of the consultation and view the short guide to the proposed primary curriculum.
QCA is keen that as many people and organisations as possible respond to the consultation, and encourages you to discuss the curriculum reform proposals with your colleagues and friends, and participate in the questionnaires.
We look forward to receiving your responses, and ideas on how the proposals can be improved.
