Creative and media: radio advert showcasing the Diploma
In this radio advert, a pupil is given a demonstration of studio mixing equipment. This is just one way that a Diploma in creative and media could offer hands-on experience to pupils.
Transcript
Teacher: Ok Year 12. If you gather round the video edit suite I'll take you through the sound mixing process. You've got eight tracks to play with.
Pupil: How many do they have in a professional studio?
Teacher: Well it can be 24 or more. You'll see that when you visit the professional edit suite...
(Sounds of train approaching)
Pupil: Wow, that's great. Like you're really there
Studio technician: And since we've all 32 tracks recorded separately we now have to mix everything together as the Master. Here, you have a go...
Teenage narrator: The Diploma is a great new way of combining class work with hands-on experience. There's a range to choose from, so if you're in Year 9 or 11 and looking at your options for next September you should check out what's available in your area.
