An integrated curriculum
Last updated: 16 Nov 2007
Every curriculum should respond to the needs, interests and enthusiasms of young people and to the challenges that they face, to provide students with a coherent learning experience. This section provides support and guidance to help curriculum planners look at their Diploma provision from the specific perspectives of:
- applied learning
- functional skills
- personal, learning and thinking skills (PLTS).
These lenses can be used to consider the kind of experience the curriculum provides for all learners and reflect on how well it helps them prepare for the future and meet the challenges they will face within and beyond school.
