Building the Evidence Base - Design and Technology


QCA is reviewing how we report on the findings from our discussions with stakeholders, from focus groups and seminars and from our national surveys. We are particularly keen to find out how this information is being used in schools and local authorities and how we can better capture the individual views of teachers and learners.

We are redesigning our web pages to enable individuals to read, and respond to, specific areas of interest. The pages will be updated periodically as we receive further information and should become a useful resource to support schools and colleges in questioning, evaluating and developing their own practice.

We have also included a section on your responses to questions specific to design and technology and a section on issues that we are suggesting we could explore in future.

We are trialling this new method of presenting our findings to encourage you to contribute, and in each section you will find ways to do so. We look forward to working with you to shape our curriculum for the future.
