We are accountable to the Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families. We develop the school curriculum and its assessment, support the development of vocational learning, regulate awarding bodies and accredit and monitor qualifications in schools, colleges and the work place. We support the development of occupational standards by industry-led bodies.
The National Assessment Agency (NAA) is a subsidiary body of the QCA and is accountable to the Chief Executive and through him to the QCA Board. The NAA has responsibility for production and delivery of national curriculum tests and the support of awarding bodies on the delivery of examinations.
