Managing information across partners


Managing Information Across Partners (MIAP) is a DfES programme managed by the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) and concerned with streamlining how information on learning and achievement is collected, handled and shared across the education sector.

MIAP has developed the concept of a Learner Registration Service that will support every learner as they build a record of their participation and achievements. This service will contain a Unique Learner Number that will be allocated to every person undertaking education and training. The 10-digit number will remain with them for life.
