The West Way Annual 5K Run committee thanks you for expressing an interest in the 8th Annual 5K Run. This event attracts many people interested in running including experienced distance runners as well as beginners. Your provisional number for the run is RUNNERID and you will be classified as being in the CLASS group of runners. See the table below for details of your starting time.

Your entry fee, which is non-refundable, must be sent with the entry form. Make cheques payable to "West Way Annual 5K Run". OAPs and full time students receive a concession of 50%.

ABOUT THE COURSE
A course map for the West Way Annual 5K Run will be included in your information pack. The run will start at the West Way Sports Centre and will finish in the Castle grounds.

IMPORTANT NOTE
High heat and humidity can be extremely dangerous and possibly fatal to runners. Most victims of heat exhaustion and heat stroke are dehydrated prior to running. Therefore observe the following precautions prior to running: 
1) be in top physical condition
2) drink plenty of liquids the week prior to the run
3) do not take salt tablets the week of the run
4) take liquids during the run and slow down or stop if you feel dizzy, chilled or if you stop sweating.
