Here are some details about the venue to help make your experience with us as pleasant as possible. On arrival, FIRSTNAME, you would find this sleepy little village is not all that it seems. Hidden amid the deep valleys in the rolling countryside, this tiny setting is home to a very exclusive institution for learning. Saturated with many 'home grown' scholars, this college has much to offer its clients. The building is a converted 19th century flax mill, built by the Clark brothers in 1846 and has, for the best part of 100 years, been the source of employment for the local area. The renovations have made this building into a remarkable 21st century 'state of the art' establishment of learning, whilst still paying tribute to its history with artefacts from the 19th century displayed prominently in the entrance hallway. The Darkly College Emporium was founded in 1986 by the late, great Georgina Trees, whose flair for creative knitting is known all over the world. Georgina was a caring, sharing person, whose ambition was to pass on her wealth of knowledge and skills to future generations. People were touched by her enthusiasm and her memory lives on in the success of her many designs. The emporium now has 10 colleges worldwide and the residential courses include master classes in knitting, crochet, embroidery, sewing, and quilting. For the energetic type, we offer dancing, keep fit and DIY. The college offers a wide range of practical based courses, which can be further enhanced by 'distance learning.'
