Reinforce understanding of the water cycle by creating paper props for clouds, rain, a river, the sea, etc. Divide the class into groups and encourage each group to act out their own story of the water cycle. Afterwards, the class can vote on which story was the best.

Bring in a variety of Italian foods, eg dried pasta and tinned tomatoes. Link each to the climatic region where they are likely to be grown in Italy.
