We hope that these exemplars will encourage you to submit your own web-based activities, so that this aspect of the website will become self-sustaining. The Geographical Association welcomes your suggestions for topics for future units, please email them to Diane Wright. We are especially interested in those that add value to the teaching of the environment and the sustainable development theme, and that make a contribution to the citizenship agenda. The Geographical Association website provides further support for CPD. 'Valuing places' provides opportunities for participation in a CPD led curriculum development project, while the Geography trainers’ induction programme provides ‘think pieces’ and ‘orientation pieces’ written to encourage reflection on specific topics in geography teaching. For suggestions about how to use the units and to see the units themselves, choose from the menu. |
