How can this website help?

This website provides lots of materials that arts co-ordinators and teachers can use to help create the right environment for the arts.

For example, you could:

  • show Why invest in the arts? to your headteacher. This provides a useful summary of the arts' benefits for pupils' education and school improvement;
  • search for and print out case studies that address similar needs to those being experienced by your school. Showing these to the senior management team can be a good way to highlight what can be achieved through the arts;
  • print out a chart (PDF 55Kb), summarising the types of outcomes achievable through the arts, to help you identify outcomes of particular relevance to your school.

You can also print off a checklist of action points (PDF 63Kb) that you can use to help develop your arts team and improve the arts in your school.
