Arts in practice

This section includes a range of case studies that illustrate how schools have developed their work in the arts to:

  • improve pupils' attainment in arts subjects
  • contribute to wider educational outcomes (school improvement).

The case studies show that arts initiatives can make a significant contribution to school aims and development plans. In every example, developing the arts as part of their overall vision has helped schools to achieve their targets.

Use the case study templates provided to help develop your approach to the arts or to write a case study for ARTS alive!
