The case studies

The case studies are organised under four headings - Primary schools, Secondary schools, Special schools and Partnership projects.

Some of the case studies illustrate how schools achieved specific outcomes over a short timescale, such as improved communication skills or the involvement of disaffected pupils. Others provide a broader picture and are based on long-term development of the arts. A range of projects exploring partnerships between schools, arts organisations and businessses are also considered. Each example includes an evaluation written by the school, which provides helpful insight for schools wishing to improve their practice.

Icons are used against each case study to identify which arts disciplines are involved in the work carried out by the school.
