Motivating boys through music and dance

How did the school collect evidence?

The school collected evidence to show the project's impact by:

  • analysing school data (the number of pupils involved, baseline screening);
  • talking with staff, pupils and parents;
  • giving class teachers questionnaires before and after the project, to find out about the pupils' attitudes, involvement and work;
  • asking staff and pupils to keep diaries;
  • asking project teachers and class teachers to record observations;
  • looking at pupils' responses to homework.

The school also took baseline information before the work began and compared this to information collected in the same way at the end of the work.
