The QCA strives to promote excellence in all areas of the curriculum

About 14-19

This website has been produced by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA). In January 2003 the DfES published 14-19: opportunity and excellence. Building on the 2002 Green Paper, it confirmed the government's vision for greater coherence in the 14-19 phase and the measures it is taking to achieve it.

This website addresses the issues, opportunities and challenges raised within the documents. It aims to provide a one-stop shop for all information and guidance about the 14-19 phase. The site provides information and guidance to practitioners and to others with an interest in 14 to 19 education and training, including students and parents.

The site is divided into the following sections, indicated by the coloured tabs at the top of each page:

Curriculum: 11-16 schools

Curriculum: 6th form schools

Click on a tab to see a list of what's in that section.

The site is written in transitional XHTML 1.0, and aims to meet Government's IAG guidelines. Use of scripting and images has been kept to a minimum. Accesskeys are enabled and all pages are tagged with Dublin Core metadata.

The grey bar along the top of each page is QCA's corporate branding. Clicking on the QCA logo will take you to the QCA corporate website. The search entry box allows you to search this website, and then to search other QCA sites and the web if you don't find what you are looking for here.
