Employers

As an employer, you may be interested in information on this site about qualifications, including key skills, vocational and work-based qualifications. The site contains general information, with links to the main QCA site where there is more detailed information on specific qualifications.

You may also be interested in information about work-related learning and enterprise.  From September 2004 there is a statutory requirement that all young people experience some work-related learning at key stage 4.

The DfES document 14-19: opportunity and excellence contains much of relevance to employers, who are crucial to the success of some of its aspects, for example that more young people should learn in the work-place and all should have work-related learning. Employers also make a valuable contribution to young people's experience of courses leading to qualifications such as GNVQs, GCSE in vocational subjects and VCE (vocational A levels).

You can access from this site the results of surveys into students, employer and higher education's need for certificated key skills achievement.
