This guidance provides tools to help a school audit its current provision for work-related learning in the curriculum at key stage 4.

There are four audit proformas. The first audit proforma is directed at heads of subjects and is structured around the nine elements of the QCA framework. The second proforma is the work-related learning summary and can be used by the work-related coordinator once the subject heads have returned their forms. The third proforma is the student audit, the aim of which is to check students’ awareness of the work-related learning programme. The final proforma tool is for the management and coordination of work-related learning. It is a tool for self-review with key questions against which to describe current practice.
